About PICKAPICK:
We're a startup company founded by people who have investigated the musical
instrument industry for more than 10 years. We simply believe that music makes us feel
good, and we want to bring music closer to everyone's life. Given that, we started with
an easy and fun instrument, the ukulele; the first one we launched is the UC23 concert
ukulele, in the future, there will be 21-inch ukulele, solid top ukulele and etc.
We wouldn't say our product is 100% good, as a startup, we learn as we go, so we
welcome any suggestions and comments from all the ukulele artists, these will be taken
into consideration in the next generation. We started the UC23 project last year and
finally brought it to everyone by the end of 2021, had numerous conferences and
modifications in the designing and manufacturing process, still not perfect, but we aim
to keep improving it in the next generation. Thanks to everyone who has liked the
ukulele, your encouragement has strengthened our belief to dig deep into every single
product even with a longer payback period.
Here are a few things we would like you to know about this ukulele:
6 key features are listed in the product profile already. few more points to add here:
pickguard: it's in a mango shape, so we call it a Mango Pickguard. The material is
PVC.
strings: the string we chose delivers a relatively bright tone compared to the other
ones we tested (including Aquila strings)
nut: it's made of plastic steel, same as the saddle.
fretboard and bridge: made of Canadian Maple
Our target consumers are teens from 12+ and adults who want a fun-looking
ukulele.
now we only sell it in the US on amazon.
About the beginner kit:
The pickguard is not preinstalled, it can be used as a design element. We think it
looks cool with it on, but not necessary to install.
The user manual shows how to install a pickguard, change strings, and tune strings.
We didn't include a tuner in our kit since we thought a tuning App is easier to tune
the ukulele.
We have designed a greeting card with customized stickers for people who want to
write a card as a gift.
The ukulele pick is included in the greeting card package.
The lesson book is written by us and included 4 songs.
