Barrie Mathers sent me a link to Hannah Hauxwell's story, and I watched in 1972 documentary that was made about her life, 'Too Long a Winter'.

Obviously some confusion between this story of a servant in Herods court vs the Martyr St. Stephen (who wasnt yet born):

Attempt at making this singable in English is my own:
