Mermaids and mermen from all corners of the country gather at the triangle Aquatic Center in Cary, North Carolina to learn the ways of mermaiding for entertainment, performances, photography and more. The festivities were joined by a fleet of fun-loving pirates, and activities for kids of all ages!

$Alchemie BTS Behind the Scenes with Adrien Oneiga 4K The vision of ‘Alchemie’ was to create a multi-sensory journey through an experiential fantasy world. Its a place of mystery inspired by the deep sea and its bioluminescent creatures; where one single photon creates ripples and refractions, and imagination runs free. ►Watch the full length video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UAgun7kUBnA Shooting underwater can create all sorts of challenges. The Vista Primes rendered beautiful detail with an organic, three dimensional quality onto RED’s large format MONSTRO sensor, capturing the delicate nuances in the scene. Hannah Fraser was adorned in various layers of reflective paint, prisms, iridescent fabrics and outfits. A 3-dimensional grid with 40 Digital Sputnik lights was animated to create the effects in the film along with underwater prisms. Shot underwater on RED MONSTRO using Tokina Vista Primes including the rare 18mm, 25mm, 50mm, and 100mm macro in Gates housings. Lightly processed with REDs IPP2. Adrien Oneiga’s ‘Alchemie’ is a meditation on self-awareness through reflection. It features underwater performance artist Hannah Fraser and music by Krister Linder. Shot using practical effects such as animated lighting and prisms. The film serves as a poetic metaphor for the experience of transformation during the creative process.
