diyforknuckleheads.com Hanging the Drywall, also known as Plasterboard. G'day Knuckleheads and Welcome to Episode 30 in my Owner Builder Series. In this Episode we look at installing the Plasterboard / Drywall. We're using CSR Gyprock on this project for the walls and ceilings. I've included a link to their website below. Make sure you check them out!
In this video we look at putting up the ceiling battens along with the installation of the ceiling plasterboard / drywall sheets.
You'll also see how the old section of the house had to have it's ceiling re-levelled. it was out of kilter and the joists were not straight. To rectify that, the plasterers had to drop the ceiling by using furring channel metal brackets attached to the ceiling joists.
