I have read of this happening to people whereby the door handles will not go in and so you also can’t open the door. This never happened to me until I started messing around removing fuses testing out entrapment issues.
Here is how I got the door open and fixed the issue. Note that this is NOT the common stickiness issue, which is easily fixed as shown in my other videos.

Note: there is also the door latch design issue that if the interior handle is pulled out and kept out before an unlock then this prevents the opening of the door. It needs to be released then lock-unlock and then pulled again to get out. This is a similar situation and cause as when the exterior handle is stuck out. The problem is caused by the door latch design not the handle unit. The internal handle cable goes direct to the door latch not the external handle unit.
