I need extra storage space at my work bench. Something that didn't collect shavings, sawdust, or hinder clamps such as my holdfasts. It didn't need to hold a lot of weight. Hence an inexpensive, easy to hammock could be the perfect facsimile to a real shelf.
Take an afternoon and make one of these DIY basic hammock shelves for yourself. Easy to modify and improve upon if you have a Roubo, Nickleson, Hybrid, European, or Classic workbench.
