The principal material used in the finish of this furniture is hand-pounded Mexican tree bark (Mulberry & Fig). The process of crafting this material has not changed since it was first introduced by the Aztecs. It is only through the unique process of applying colorfast pigments and clear acrylic to irregularly textured, porous bark that they create a very durable and dramatic marbleized surface.
