Hamilton was ready to rally around the hometown Hamilton West Side Little League team as it began play in the Little League World Series (LLWS), but rain forced fans to wait a little longer. The team made it to the LLWS after coming up one game short of making it last year. The team won its 23rd state title this year and punched its ticket to Williamsport, Pennsylvania, by going undefeated in the Great Lakes Regional Tournament.
