Lewis Hamilton has not been able to compete for titles or race wins over the last two years with Mercedes off Red Bull's pace, and time is running out for him to secure that elusive eighth F1 crown
Toto Wolff has vowed not to wait until the next major Formula 1 rule changes to take the fight to Red Bull.
His Mercedes team won the constructors' title eight years in a row as the dominant force in the sport between 2014 and 2021. They did that after adapting quickest to the beginning of the hybrid era, creating an advantage upon which they built a dynasty.
