This video is not intended for experienced ham radio operators.
This video is meant to show some of the digital modes you can get into with ham radio, and to show their capabilities.
In the video I demonstrated FT8, a mode meant for making contacts over long distances with much redundancy.
I also show PSK31, a phase-shift Keying mode used for sending text over the air.
At the end is SSTV, or slow scan television, which is a mode used for sending images over the air. This is the same mode that is used to broadcast images from the ISS.
There are many things you can do on a ham radio, and these are only a few to get started.
