Basic Horse Training | Halter Breaking a Foal @BasicHorseTraining | Uploaded October 2020 | Updated October 2024, 1 hour ago.
Halter breaking a foal. In this video, I will show you how I go about halter breaking foals. This is a part of handling your foals and foal training.
It is done so that I can handle my foals safely and easily should they need veterinary and/or farrier care (which they will if you are going to be a responsible owner). All young horses need their feet done on a regular basis at the bare minimum and therefore you should make this part of your basic horse training. It will make it much less stressful for the foal and the person attempting to work with your foal if you do this kindly and early.
Don't forget to download my FREE guide - 3 Principles to help you train your horse with ease. This is as pertinent for a foal as it is for a fully matured horse.
