mycentraljersey.com RIEGELSVILLE - Early Saturday morning, hundreds of citizens from New Jersey and Pennsylvania shuttled out to the Delaware Canal to protest against the proposed PennEast pipeline.
The march went past the spot where PennEast wants to dig under the canal and Delaware River, according to the news release from the organizers of the protest. A similar protest was held last year.
More than a dozen representatives from activist groups signed up to speak at the rally, which was organized by the environmental activist groups Pennsylvania Earth Guardians, Concerned Citizens Against the Pipeline and HALT-PennEast.
