This is the world record for the Halo Reach level tip of the spear, this run was played on legendary difficulty. This was my first ever individual level world record in halo speedrunning and im glad it was tots. ASS forever. I pioneered and invented this new method of skipping the autoscroller, it saves about 17 seconds overall in the individual level speedrun, however its far safer and more consistent then doing the autoscroller and therefore can save upwards of 40 seconds in the full game speedrun. Shout out to dyse, harc, noobs, spartan maxel, and all the others that helped find the trick. The trick uses some new tech, namely an MSL or momentum storage launch, this launch is done by getting into a floating state and then spamming crouch, the more crouches you spam the more momentum you store, this then is redirected down and off the rock sending you flying. In order for this trick to work and EXACT amount of crouches are required, 120 at the tempo i mashed here. This could certainly be done faster, but you wont see it from me anytime soon.
