I distinctly remember feeling this way the moment I beat Halo 5 for the first and only time. I felt that the relationship between Chief and Cortana had completely ran it's course, there were no more good ideas.
I think Master Chief needs to step down from the spotlight for a little while.
I'd personally like to see something fresh and new in a Halo game, we don't always NEED to play as the Master Chief.
