Join us in this video walkthrough with commentary showing where to unlock all skulls and terminals in The Dangerous Game bonus mission to earn the Brute Loops achievement / trophy in Halo: Campaign Evolved.
TEMPERAMENTAL SKULL (Skull 1 of 3):
• For this skull, you will need to shoot an Elite with gold and purple armor, THREE separate times.
• Watch closely to see where this specific Elite appears in Checkpoints Alpha, Bravo and Charlie - as well as where to claim the skull after shooting the elite the third and final time.
With the Temperamental Skull activated, allies will attack the player more quickly if the player kills a friendly.
RECESSION SKULL (Skull 2 of 3):
• To find this skull, you will need to TURN AROUND after clearing the area with lots of enemies including wraths at at Rally Point Bravo, instead of advancing forward.
• This is the area where you shot the first Elite in gold and purple armor for the Temperamental Skull. Click here to see that skull guide: youtube.com/shorts/w4u003ENhaU
• Head back across the big purple bridge that you just fought across, and head to the big purple door. straight back.
• Shoot BOTH plasma fusion coils that are on top of both the left and right archway pillars, inside the flame.
• Once both fusion coils explode, the door opens! The Recession Skull is sitting in the middle of the room.
• There are lots of weapons, ammo, and grenades in the armory room. Stock up before the rest of the mission!
With the Recession Skull turned on, every shot expends twice the normal amount of ammo.
TERMINAL - PENITENT REPORT (The Most Dangerous Game Terminal)
• After going up an elevator with Sgt. Johnson, you will go up to a room that overlooks a room below full of pods. Williams says a dialogue line about "shipping".
• Instead of progressing the story by going through the green doors on the left, INSTEAD go through the green doors on the RIGHT of this room, and then through another set of doors.
• The terminal is in the middle of this new room, up on a platform.
• Go up and interact with it to unlock the Penitent Report terminal.
• You can read the full transcript of this terminal ilater n the Collectibles Menu, off of the Main Menu screen of the game.
GHOST SKULL (Skull 3 of 3):
• To unlock this skull, FIRST clear the entire area of enemies in the area shown - which is after you battle some banshees on a bridge.
• After clearing all enemies in this area, BEFORE ADVANCING, head back to the entryway in which you came through, from inside to this outside area.
• The skull is located on the top of the right pillar, in the purple flames.
• Make sure you have some frag grenades. There are some on the ground near the two pillar entryway.
• Head to the rock formation to the right of the right pillar, as shown.
• Grenade Jump up to the next rock platform above. To do this, look directly at your feet, throw one frag grenade directly at ground, and then jump and angle your left joystick to aim towards the area above where you are standing.
• Once you have successfully Grenade Jumped, now head to the right and wedge yourself along the wall, to get closer to the pillar.
• Once close, jump and while in the air, crouch again to do a "Crouch Jump" to successfully land on top of the right pillar.
• Step into the purple flame and look down to see the skull hidden there.
• Collect the Ghost Skull to unlock it!
The Ghost Skull causes: Enemies no longer flinch when taking fire.
