Halo: Campaign Evolved was supposed to be the definitive way to experience the original masterpiece. Instead, it often feels like a step backward.
In this review I dig into the biggest problems with Halo: Campaign Evolved — the questionable art direction changes that strip away a lot of the original’s atmosphere and identity, the technical issues and glitches that still crop up, and the persistent DLSS artifacts that hurt image quality more than they help. I also talk about what still works, what doesn’t, and whether this remake is actually worth playing over the classic version.
