First off, if you're not familiar with "the mystery of the glyphs in Halo 3: ODST", you should definitely take a look at the video we did with Rocket Sloth "Hunting the last UNSOLVED Halo 3 ODST Easter Egg (Secret Glyph Project)": youtu.be/bBuP039tzjQ
(Tepec) For the past decade -and especially during the last months-, people suggested that the glyphs may be some form of code, and that they may be translatable to something we understand. I've always been skeptical about this for quite a few reasons (the main one being the lack of "Rosetta stone" to help us decipher them)
BUT
I thought it would still be fun to wrap my brain around the problem and try to solve it. And for that, I decided to use the most overkill method I know of: the bruteforce. If you don't know what that mean, it is a type of "attack" on a sequence of characters that computes every single possibility until it finds the right combination.
But bruteforcing has its own major limitations: the complexity is factorial, and so you may end up having to compute all the possibilities for a few hundred years. And I am patient, but not to that extent.
So this video shows off in a silly way the full process to finally bruteforce the glyphs. Hope you'll enjoy!
