Hi guys! Andrew here! I hope you all are safe, well and ready for spoooooOOOOOOoooky Halloween!
With All Hallow’s Eve round the corner, Rx asked us if we had any Horror recommendations. Now, I don’t really read horror (am a wimp and I am more a fantasy/thriller reader), but I do have some ideas for recommendations for you this creepy season!
These titles are a mix of books I have read, am currently reading or are on my TBR. So, hold onto your broomsticks! This is going to be a strange bookish brew:
* “The Old Kingdom” series by Garth Nix (LOVE THIS SERIES!)
* “The Illuminae Files” by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff (currently audiobooking the second in this series and I am SO STRESSED!!!)
* “The Haunting of Aveline Jones” by Phil Hickes (middle grade ghost story)
* “Coraline” by Neil Gaiman
* “The Saga of Darren Shan” or “Demonata” series by Darren Shan
* “The Diviners” by Libba Bray (Read first and it’s creepy. It’s slow paced and a beast of a series!)
* “Wranglestone” by Darren Charlton (queer zombie alert!)
* “When No One Is Watching” by Alyssa Cole (Imagine “Get Out” and “Rear Window” had a bookish baby!)
* “Harrow Lake” by Kat Ellis
* “Lockwood and Co.” by Jonathan Stroud
* “Mexican Gothic” by Silvia Mareno-Garcia
* “Soul Screamers” by Rachel Vincent
Like I said, am more a thriller but these might get your creep on!
