The tiniest patients at Nebraska Medical Center won't be trick-or-treating on their first Halloween, but that doesn't mean their families have to miss out on the fun. Each year, the March of Dimes Family Support program teams up with the nurses in our Newborn Intensive Care Unit to create special costumes for each baby!
This year's theme was food! From a burger and fries to gumballs and popcorn to grapes and a carrot, the costumes range from sweet to salty. Each set of twins had perfectly paired outfits as well!
Because the costumes are made of felt, they can gently be laid right on top of the babies, without disturbing cords or tubes.
We can't pick a favorite! Can you?
