Wind rustles fallen leaves across the neighborhood. Distant trick-or-treaters can occasionally be heard far away. The house settles with quiet creaks as Laurie tries to catch her breath.
But something feels wrong.
The room remains still as Michael lies on the floor. Every passing second builds tension as the silence becomes more unsettling than any scream.
