Halifax NA337 Dedication!
Join us for a special episode of the Halifax 57 Rescue Show! In this installment, we revisit the powerful dedication ceremony of the fully rebuilt Halifax NA337 at the National Air Force Museum in Trenton from 2005. Witness the culmination of years of hard work as veterans, the rebuild crew, and enthusiasts gather to honor this iconic warbird.
Before the dedication, we get updates from the rebuild shops. Scott shares progress on skinning the trailing edge of the wing at Arn Prior, Ontario, and the exciting step of bolting the port and starboard sections of the center section together.
We also take you to the Bomber Command Museum in Alberta, where we see the beautiful running of the number three engine, a look at the Halifax turrets being rebuilt, and the assembly of the massive 13-foot propellers. Get an up-close look at the ancillary parts and a special tour of the "treasure land" including a rare, fully functioning Halifax control column.
