I've been playing Half-Life 2 Cinematic Mod 10 for some time now and I had some requests to make a walkthrough of this amazing mod to show how beautiful and fantastic the graphics is in half-life 2 with Cinematic Mod 10 by FakeFactory. FakeFactory has truly done an amazing job with this mod. The Cinematic Mod 10 gives half-life 2 series high resolution textures to nearly all characters and objects in the game. The characters also now have new high polygon models. The mod also contains gameplay changes and tweaks. The music in the game has also been replaced with cinema themed music.
This first video is recorded in 1920x1080 with Fraps. For some reason half-life 2 Cinematic does not like to be recorded in that resolution because the game begins to stutter every now and then so the rest of the videos will be recorded in 1280x720. All settings in the game are all maxed out to give the best image quality.
I've used some other textures that I downloaded and some I modified like on the Combine Police, I also downloaded new weapons that replaces some of the weapons in the game.
Half-Life 2 Cinematic Mod requires a fast pc with at least 4GB ram and a high end graphics card. The mod only works on 64bit Windows.
There is a LE version (Light Edition) that works on 32bit Windows but it does not include the HD characters, new soundtracks and gameplay changes or tweaks. However the LE version(Light Edition) is untested and unsuported. I'll be uploading a new part of the walkthrough every day. Hope you like this walkthrough.
