"I liked it. I was fully expecting to just be Half-Life 2 with no NPCs, but the developer went out of their way to remove the bodies and anything that can be considered 'somebody'. Even the larva from Episode 2!
As you can see in the video, the view was 'mirrored'. I did this so the mod would feel even more 'different'. Especially after playing another Half-Life 2 mod that involves the Half-Life 2 campaign. Obviously my muscle memory has failed me a few times resulting me into 'un-mirroring' the view so I can get my barrings.
I also turned the music off. I noticed while going through the files of the mod, the developer liked the songs. Sorry. But I need to hear if there's any enemies nearby. That goes for all of the games I play. Not just Half-Life.
My one complaint about the mod is the timer for Episode 1. If it was the intent to make the player freak out and rush through the episode, my complaints are null and void. But if it wasn't the intent and there was an actual timer, I feel like this would discourage players from exploring.
I'm going to end this wall of text with something positive. I really liked the endings. It looked like someone recorded themselves on Garry's Mod.
If you plan to play this mod on any other Source game, prepare to see a message pop up on every single map telling you to stop playing. Continue to play the mod on that Source game out of pure spite. I strongly believe this is a way to stop thieves from taking the mod and publishing it as their own, but there are better ways to do it."
