"Moon Prism Power, Make Up!
In the world of Sailor Moon, celestial bodies wield extraordinary power, with the planets and the Moon bestowing unique abilities upon the heroes. This concept mirrors astrology, where each sign is associated with specific planets and traits. In fact, Sailor Moon creator Naoko Takeuchi spent a lot of time thoughtfully crafting the series to account for those astrological elements to add additional layers to its lore.
Round Challenge
For round 1, you’ll need to choose one of the 12 Astrological Signs and create a video inspired by the personality traits associated with it and its Sailor Moon counterpart. For example, editing a video about the Moon will not be enough to satisfy the theme if you choose Cancer / Sailor Moon. You’re allowed to incorporate the moon into your video, but the core concept should revolve around the traits associated with the astrological sign (sensitivity, protectiveness, and caring). Also, you're not allowed to select multiple signs."
The sign I chose was Leo. Judges liked my video as is, but felt I suffered portraying the theme, which is totally fair.
