MKme Lab | Hacking a Chinese Diesel Heater With HackRF, ESP32 & Chat GPT, Part 3 - Radio Troubles! @MkmeOrg | Uploaded May 2023 | Updated October 2024, 1 week ago.
The third instalment of our HackRF hacking series, sponsored by PCBWay (https://www.pcbway.com), takes us deeper into the world of Software Defined Radio (SDR) and heater control. In this episode, we encounter issues with the radio module as it fails to receive or decode any data. Despite initializing over SPI, the module remains unresponsive. But don't worry! We find an alternative set of code from another project to test our hardware, and the results are promising. The module springs to life, transmitting RF signals that we can visualize using the HackRF PortaPack. Stay tuned for more progress as we continue to explore and overcome challenges in our journey to integrate the heater with Home Assistant!

Don't forget to check out PCBWay, the sponsor of this series, for all your PCB manufacturing and assembly needs. Stay connected with them on social media for the latest updates and offers.
