Thank You GearFest 2025! PresentDayProduction 2025-07-21 | This weekend saw us exhibiting for our third consecutive year at GearFest, and it was the best show ever!We had the first public outing for our MUM-10MB monitors, atop our newly designed motorised speaker stands, and the response from all who visited was overwhelmingly positive.We've had the same room for three years in a row now, but the bass end sounded better than ever before, and that can only be due to the next-level isolation in our new stands. We were blown away when we set up on Friday evening, and so many of you who visited our room commented on the low end (and couldn't believe we hadn't hidden a sub somewhere!).More on those in this live stream, but this year we also had our first opportunity to host a panel talk on the main stage in the marquee, with special guest Stefano Civetta from School Farm Studios. The talk was extremely well attended and received, and Stefano was as fantastic as he always is at sharing his incredible knowledge. Check out our very own MUM studio monitors here:presentdayproduction.comLewitt kindly loaned us a second LCT1040 Ultimate Microphone System to see what we'd do with it, so we decided to do something a bit different - record a fekkin great big pipe organ! This is the first time we've recorded such an instrument so was a bit of an experiment, and after trying a few different spacings and polar patterns we went with a Blumlein pair in figure of eight mode, at 100% Fet. And boy, were we pleased when we listened back on our ATCs!We also set up a mid/side pair using the incredible Lewitt LCT640TS as the sides mic, with a LCT140AIR as the mid - and that also sounded spectacular!Lewitt are absolutely knocking it out the park with their entire range - every mic we've tried sounds absolutely fantastic, is built like a tank, and is incredible value for money too.A HUGE thank you to the wonderful Jonathan Lilley at Waltham Abbey Church for allowing us to record this incredible instrument, and performing so admirably for us!
