Restoration of a limited edition (500) Prestons Waltham Junior (1918) - 16s 15j Model 1899 Grade 621 Macro Time 2022-01-14 | Service of Prestons Waltham Junior pocket watch, size 16, 15j, hunter case, model 1899, grade 621, Breguet overcoil and the run quantity was 500.This Waltham pocket watch was produced in around 1918 for Prestons of Bolton, a jeweller store in the North West England.A new old stock mainspring for Waltham 2227 was fine, however after 24 hours of running the timing was going downhill and when I disassembled the barrel the 2227 mainspring was set.A new GR6978TR mainspring had to be modified to fit the Waltham barrel.
