Day 5 of his cross-country sojourn in the 4x4 converted Church Van and Scotto’s made it about a third of the way west on Route 66 and into Shamrock, TX. About 15 miles into the Panhandle this picturesque little town not only inspired Pixar’s Cars but also Scotto’s favorite section of Gymkhana TEN. It was the Hoonitruck’s maiden voyage, and Scotto’s got loads of behind-the-scenes stories about how the one-and-only Ken Block threaded that monster through historic buildings.
