An idea for a Gym Leader I had, inspired by the video "Let's Make a Pokémon Game" by @JelloApocalypse: youtu.be/tGhpDOx0CMk

This idea ultimately lead to me making the song/video you're hearing/watching right now.

This description will be basically a copy/paste of the comment I left, which explains what Kyber is like in detail (with maybe one or two things added). Be warned, there's like... a LOT of writing. A LOT OF IT. TOO MUCH, I-- I'M STILL WRITING. I CAN'T STOP WRITING. PLEASE HELP ME.

So, first thing's first, he's a young boy who wears an outfit similar to what Red wore in the very first game(s); it's even in monochrome colors. His gym's theme is "Retro", and his main gimmick is that his team consists of starter Pokémon from the first six regions. In order, his team consists of Bulbasaur (Kanto), Cyndaquil (Johto), Mudkip (Hoenn), Piplup (Sinnoh), Tepig (Unova), and Chespin (Kalos).

Kyber's main trait is that he prefers to do things the old-fashioned way, or as he puts it: "I wanna do things the way that my parents and my parents' parents taught me!"

You can find him somewhat to the left of the fire-themed area, hanging out in a large, spacious tent filled with other trainers itching for a fight. Like Kyber, their teams consist of mainly old-school Pokémon, like... You've got your Pikachus and Jigglypuffs, your Mareeps and Swinubs, your Raltses and Taillows, etc.

Of course, as your team gets stronger, and you get more and more badges, his team evolves as well, until you end up having to fight the starters' fully-evolved forms. The trainers before you face Kyber ALSO star tweaking their teams, replacing some Pokémon with stronger ones and simply evolving others.

Story-wise, this gets an explanation in the form of a page in a book you can read about Kyber's group: When a Pokémon cannot keep up with the group's standards, or is too weak to do battle in its own right, Kyber's group feels that its their responsibility to give it to a trainer who will do better at caring for them than they could. Thus it's tradition for Kyber's group to release the Pokémon back into the wild so that another trainer may end up catching it for themselves. Don't worry about the Pokémon; if the Pokémon doesn't want to go, the trainer won't let them go and will keep training it themselves, gaining stronger skills, and becoming closer as friends. Such is the bond between a Pokémon and their trainer...

However, once you end up getting the minimum eight badges required to get into the Pokémon League and beat the Elite Four, once you get to Kyber, he's like: "Oh, dang, you beat the Elite Four, huh? Wow, great job, really proud of ya! Anyways, I've actually learned something NEW about my Pokémon, so get ready 'cuz I'm'onna start fighting for REAL now!" And you get into the battle and it turns out that his Pokémon are now super-ultra-tough MEGA POKÉMON! Yeah, I know Mega forms don't exist for like, half his team, so you're just gonna have to make up what the missing forms would look like, but yeah, that's his super-tough "after Elite Four" fight.

As for an optional alternate way to get his badge would be? Well, I'm thinking that maybe you spot him hanging around at the grass-themed area... if you haven't already entered his Gym and battled him yet, that is. Otherwise, this event'll be inaccessable. He's standing near a cave, and when you talk to him, he explains that one of his Pokémon had a toy that they really liked or something else that the Pokémon had, but they lost the thing in this cave, and now he's gotta get it back for them, but like, the cave is too dark for him, and none of his team knows Flash. So, he needs someone with a special tool or a special Pokémon to light the way. So if you've got that, you're like, "Yeah, don't worry 'bout it, I'll go get it for ya!" And he's like, "Okay, great! But hey, be careful; I think there's like, Lv. 45 Zubats lurking around in there, or something!"

So you go in the cave, you fight the Zubats or whatever, and you get the thing and get out of the cave. Once you talk to him again, he's like, "You found the thing for me? Awesome, my Pokémon's gonna LOVE having this back! Hey, I'm actually a Gym Leader back at the fire area, why don't ya take my badge? You can still come fight me, if you want; I'll give you somethin' cool if you win. But the badge? Take it, it's yours; you earned it, man!"

So yeah, that's my overly-long, probably-unnecessary explanation of what I would have as a Gym Leader in this dream game. Hope you enjoy, and hope you enjoy the song too!
