This short video, produced by Local Futures' team in Ladakh, highlights the traditional harvesting in the village of Gya in Eastern Ladakh.

Traditional harvesting has been practiced over centuries in Ladakh. Most of the population is dependent on agriculture and using ancient old traditions is in the root of the Ladakhi culture.

The team also wrote an accompanying article ‘Learning about our agricultural heritage’, which was published in the December 2021 edition of the local magazine, Stawa.
