Our fast-charge battery trial which could transform the UK’s railway is now officially under way.
The fast-charge technology solves the problem of delivering reliable, battery-only trains capable of fulfilling timetable services on branch lines.
It will be trialled for the next 12 months and is designed to help meet the Government and wider rail industry’s target to reach net-zero carbon emissions by 2050.
