With plug-in hybrid tech, the GWM Tank 300 PHEV makes a lot of sense for an urban buyer who wants to be able to drive fully electric, and still have the hardcore capability that is inherent to this platform.
With a turbo-petrol engine, electric motor sandwiched into the gearbox, and a tailshaft for proper off-road hardware including a rear diff lock, and a front diff lock in the high grade model -- plus the Tank Turn tech and crawl control, it has all the gear.
I had no time to do an off-road test here, though, so if you want to see what the Tank 300 Hi-4T is like off-road, I'm sure you'll be able to hunt that info down on YouTube.
This review, though, was focused on living with the tech and finding out more about the spec. And, it's safe to say, I think it's very appealing.
