First you need to start off by talking to Challenge Mote and accept the challenge. Now this will spawn the healing pods.
Things to know before I start explaining. There are 3 turns that you need to attack the dragon in order to be able to lower his hp, 1st 75%, 2nd 50% , 3rd 25% and then till he dies.
Also as for the Mote Master there will spawn Mordrem Pods almost every time the dragon does a stomp attack, up to a limit of 4 spawned.
They will immobilize you and after you get out you will get a buff to be able to damage them. Only doing a roll can remove the condition.
They will start to heal the dragon but there is no need to worry because even if you unlocked to lower his hp till he dies and he gets healed to for example 75% then you can still kill him.
I suggest to not kill the pods and if you get trapped and get the buff then you can attack them till 20-25% hp so that you can kill them at the same time.
You must save a roll for the immobilize so when you have this condition you need to roll or you will be trapped and will have the risk of getting hit by the dragon attacks or even dying.
If you have enough damage then after the 3rd time you attack the dragon, you can get trapped so that you will get the buff after escaping and lower their hp so that next time you will kill them at once and then kill the last remaining melee root and you should be able to kill the dragon in 2 turns.
What I did was that I left all the pods alive till the end so that I can kill them all and then kill the last tendril so that I would be able to kill him in 2 turns.
What i also did was that i first killed the 2 range tendril and then left the melee tendril for last
