On the 50th Anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War, Guy Martin explores the past, present and future of Vietnam, to see how the country is still dealing with the effects of the controversial conflict, and how it is planning a high-tech future.

In this second episode, the truck mechanic and motorcycle racer from Grimsby throws himself in at the deep end, living and working alongside the Vietnamese. From a 4.30am shift in the floating markets trying to sell mangoes to foreign tourists, to a high speed test drive of a new electric vehicle made in an extraordinary car plant that’s 90% automated, to being a fish out of water as part of a Buddhist dragon boat team, Guy immerses himself completely in Vietnam’s vibrant life to work out what makes this country tick.
