This time period in Swedish history is talked about alot in school books, and portrayed in romantic art in museums etc. But there are sadly alot of major inaccuracies, misconceptions and in particular, myths and legends.
So forget all about the typical felt hats, made-up fantasy armor and 17th century clothing that is so often depicted in classical paintings of Gustav Vasa and his soldiers.
In this short video I try to bring forth real facts, taken from archaeology and other sources. What weapons did they use? What armor and equipment did they actually wear? What tactic did they utilize?
Feel free to use this in your history class.

In 793, a Viking raid on Lindisfarne caused much consternation throughout the Christian west and is now often taken as the beginning of the Viking Age. The D and E versions of the Anglo-Saxon Chronicle record:
