Don't mind me, just making a quick holiday s*itpost.
For a video this small, there's a bit of history on why I did this. The source I used for the video came from a direct to video movie made by Mormans called "The Buttercream Gang." I grew up watching this movie a lot as a kid in the 90's, and im sure my mom bought it from a Lifeway or a church store somewhere.
Fast forward to 2011 my brother and I are hanging out in our apartment and we found our tape somewhere and decided to pop in that old VHS copy in our VCR. We got to the point of the movie where they have some dance, and looking at it through older adult eyes, it was the funniest crap we've seen in a while in how outright corny this scene was. Seeing a bunch of pasty white ass people dancing to some cheezy pop song from that era is just enjoyable and cringe to watch. My brother even put on "Hollaback Girl" by Gwen Stefani and I hit play, and began laughing our actual asses off in how well they both synced together.
Fast forward to 2025, im reading on the wikipedia page for "Haha, You Clowns," a new show this year on Adult Swim. The creators got their inspriation from the movie....The Buttercream Gang. I had to be taken back to "Wait, other people know about this movie other than me and my brother?" I quickely got inspried to do something with it and thinking back on that day with me and my brother watching this movie in the living room many years earlier.
So, I decided to take that particular scene with a song that someone used for AWA Thunderdome a couple of years ago where they used this song with the animated Lord of the Rings movie, and everyone in that VAT room was rolling in how off key and wild it was, and just downright fun. I figured what the heck, im gonna use that song with this movie, and it basically synced itself (aside from me doing some small edits here and there).
