A shorter one today, as we prepare for the solitary English-language debate tonight at 6 pm, but overall, not much movement but the trajectory isn't looking good with the LPC showing a minority in the polls.
Bigger news perhaps though comes from Ekos' daily poll that finds PPC support to be astronomically disproportionate by age; with most of its support coming from the 18-49 age group. In the 35-49 age bracket, the PPC even outperforms the NDP. This flies in the face of a lot of the conventional wisdom that younger voters are tacit Liberal supporters, and hopefully sends a signal to the O'Toole CPC that there is a millennial vote available if they can reach it. And on the subject, here's a protip from a millennial: It's about affordability for us.
Finally, we discuss the Quebec situation as Fancois Legault makes headlines this morning endorsing O'Toole as easier to work with than Trudeau. It's good for the CPC, in terms of image, but could hurt their chances nationally.
