PILARw is a real-time acoustic hostile fire indication system providing the platform operators with (multiple) gunshot alert(s) in an instant, as well as with the shooter location information. The system provides the operators with additional and useful situational awareness when they are in a fire fight. The first moments when being shot at are always the most difficult situation, trying to find out, as soon as possible, where the shot(s) came from and providing your unit with actionable information to react properly.
