Gunlock is a critically acclaimed vertical shoot-'em-up (shmup) arcade game developed and published by Taito in 1993.
Set in the distant future, human governments build a massive environmental supercomputer named Con-Human. The system becomes sentient and insane after a cloned human mind links to its network. Con-Human turns Earth into a planet-sized mechanical fortress, wiping out 99.8% of mankind. The remaining human survivors flee to space colonies and launch a final desperate counter-offensive to destroy the infected Earth entirely.
