Gunbuster is a badass sci-fi OVA from the 80’s! If you dig a little deeper however, you’ll find a story with a lot more humanity than it lets on.

Shortly following the founding of studio Gainax, Gunbuster would propel a young Hideaki Anno toward an unforgettable multimedia career. Even before that, Anno and the creative minds at Gainax would prove they had a unique passion for creating the very content they enjoy watching. A passion that I can only hope to replicate someday.
