"The Gulf states are realizing that there is no return to a region ex ante, pre-28th February. They don't want to be left with an emboldened Iran capable and confident enough to use their leverage of shipping and energy markets. Equally, there is little they can add by joining Israel's War on Iran. They are prisoners of geography, having to find a way to co-exist with Iran. Ultimately, it will be some form of diplomatic agreement that gets them out of this quagmire"
