Guitar Tutorial – Super Funky Muted Riffs STEP by STEP. @QJamTracks

String muting is a technique that most guitarist have used at least once or twice. It’s a technique where you mute the string by either the left hand or the right hand. A very famous riff of a very famous song is the verse from Chic – Le Freak. It uses a combination of left and right hand techniques. You can also mute chords like in the Michael Jackson song ‘Rock With You’. In this video we’ll explore the left and right hand muting technique by means of awesome funky examples with tablature. Each riff is shown in the video and presented with tablature. We’ll create two super funky riffs step by step and incorporate them in a Bluesy Funk Riff.
