This is for Jerry, I shot this at Pepe's house in Del Mar and if you slow it down on youtube. You can clearly see the tip joint ( Distal joint ) Works like a shock absorber. It allows the orbit back (to the initial approach to playing the string) to be shorter and removes the tension. I m convinced it can prevent Focal Dystonia in the right hand!
You can see it in Sabicas and Paco de Lucia! look for scales and slow the video down in youtube settings!
