Guilty Gear: Strive – The Board Game Review — Our Fighting Game Veteran Perspective @Shelfside

We review this board game port with a fighting game player's mindset! Originally from the eXceed system, Guilty Gear Strive TBG by Lvl 99 Games takes CCG (card game) ideas to pit the famous GG fighters (e.g. Ky and Sol) against one another. But is the reduction of real-time gaming into turns and dropping bluffed attack cards worth the insane cost of this originally kickstarted box? Maybe you'd like to just buy the BlazBlue or original Exceed boxes for cheaper?

Some questions we've faced are how this box does matchups amongst grapple/mixup characters, and how overall asymmetric balance is. Are there deck manipulation ideas with the blue roman cancel you can do to boost attacks?

$We played TI4 every month for a year In 2025, we challenged ourself to play Twilight Imperium 4 once a month for a year! And after 2025 (and some time after) passed, we have completed the journey! There has been 12 games completed, all with varying levels of expansions/modules. We got to play with Codex 4, Prophecy of Kings, Thunder’s Edge, and Twilight’s Fall. How did this Ameritrash Area Control hold up to this many playthroughs? Do we any observations about how Ti4 fits into the zeitgeist of board games?
