Roblox is an online game platform and game creation system built around user-generated content and games, officially referred to as "experiences". Games can be created by any user through the platform's game engine, Roblox Studio, and then shared to and played by other players. The games featured on Roblox vary in genre, from role-playing games to ones centered around escaping prison, among others. The platform is made to appeal to a family-friendly audience, and has been described as a massively multiplayer online game (MMO).

Forsaken is an asymmetric multiplayer survival horror game developed by the Forsaken Dev Team, and released on December 25th 2024. Forsaken created by Ballsnecrosis (ninjacoola12) and currently led by Hytoko (Hytok0) and Basil (cowoika). Ballsnecrosis created Forsaken around early to mid 2024, working on the game together with multiple members of the Forsaken community to make a asymmetrical horror game based on horror Roblox media, while paying homage to everything related to Roblox on and off the platform from the site's official launch in 2006 all the way to the current year of 2026. Forsaken's gameplay is inspired by the likes of Dead by Daylight, while closer at heart to Roblox games. The game starts in a intermission in the lobby, where players are allowed to change their selected characters via the shop and their inventory. The game uses a currency titled Player Points to purchase Characters, which have different types of play styles, back stories, and stats — as well as Skins for them.
