They need be lying under the car and keep the vehicle in memory while using another vehicle to enter a Mod garage. The mission will continue with a cutscene while in the interior world. You can fail the mission and enter any interior to regain regular world view.
Check if your girlfriend is available and start a date and complete it. Enter the marker at the house with a vehicle that's accepted by the Mod garage to be teleported out and leave it. On the Mobile version you need to convert the vehicle that you used to leave the garage.
