GTA 6 pets could be one of the most detailed features in Grand Theft Auto 6. Rockstar Games appears to be taking its animal systems to another level, with dogs and other animals that players can interact with throughout Vice City and Leonida.
In this GTA 6 video, we're breaking down everything we know about the NEW GTA 6 pet and animal system, including dog interactions, petting, scolding, studying animals, pet customization, animal physics, collars and leashes, pet training, bonding, and the possibility of owning pets that follow you throughout Vice City.
The GTA 6 Extended Look has revealed just how interactive animals can be, including the ability to PET, SCOLD and STUDY dogs. Rockstar appears to be carrying over some of the animal interaction philosophy from Red Dead Redemption 2 while expanding it for the modern world of GTA 6.
The physics are especially impressive. Dogs, collars and leashes can react naturally to the player's movements and physical contact, making animals feel like actual parts of the GTA 6 world rather than simple background NPCs.
