We've got a long way to go, but here's some progress made over the weekend, resulting in a significantly less buggy game.
Some 3D models have been optimized, better speed hacks have been implemented and some engine/game variables have been adjusted. The number of pedestrians and vehicles now matches the PS2 version but there are more improvements in progress. Please note that bugs are normal at this stage as is still a work in progress.
By the way, someone asked for MSX FM in the comments, so enjoy!

Daytona Championship USA, aka Daytona USA 3, wasnt necessarily well received by Daytona fans and that can be understood.
The soundtrack has been remixed (with sadly no option to go back to the original one) and its the same for the sounds, some are good but some are a nightmare especially the commentator whos yelling at you Try to go easy on the car!
Other additions that I appreciate even less have been made, a menu at the bottom of the screen show in a merry mess the 40 competitors banners and the thing that I really HATE, a ยงรนรงk!ng menu that pops time to time on the left side of the screen that sends LASERS in all directions in front of you! Its not Star Wars, its Daytona damn it!!
To fix all that I decided to make a Mod for this unloved Daytona, my goal is simple: Make Daytona Great Again!
Here is the current result, its still in WIP but its progressing well. As you can see I managed to get rid of the annoying menus and the ยงรนรงk!ng LASERS and was able to get the original soundtrack back in but I still have a bit of work to do. I have to integrate the sounds of the original commentator and adjust the sound level of each sounds/musics at the same level as on the good old Daytona USA.

Some people claim that at the 1998 Tokyo Game Show, a programmer supposedly confirmed that a Saturn version of Metal Gear Solid was in development but got canceled with the announcement of the Dreamcast.
According to some, its an absurd rumor because the Sega Saturn would have been incapable of running MGS due to its 3D capabilities being light years behind those of the PlayStation.
Whether the rumor is true or not, with this Prototype, I believe the debate about the Sega Saturn 3D capabilities is settled.
