The GSD is calling for clarification over whether companies within the El Martillo Group have received loans ultimately funded through the Gibraltar Savings Bank.
The GSD says £114 million had been provided by the Savings Bank, through Gibraltar National Mint Limited, to Community Credit Union Limited - CCU - by the end of March.
It says Companies House records show charges in favour of CCU against several El Martillo companies.
The GSD says the public is entitled to know whether any of the £114 million was ultimately loaned to the group and, if so, how much.
Christina Cortes asked Shadow Minister for Public Finance, Roy Clinton, about the basis for the GSD's queries.
