In the mid-1990s, Julia Ahern got together with a friend to launch a new gothic and alternative clothing line in Coventry. In the days before widespread internet access, Medusa clothing found its customers through magazines and fanzines - including a big commission for a Cradle of Filth tour.

Comprised of a black, feathered bodice and a lace and satin skirt, one Julia's outfits is now on display in our Grown Up in Britain exhibition, curated by Museum of Youth Culture.
